The student fraternity of the entire University of Nairobi is cordially invited to Chiromo Campus for a morning interactive session with the Recruitment and Alumni Manager of the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US.
A native of Ghana who lives in Boston, Mr. Kwadwo Poku will on February 3 be meeting with students of the university to speak on the Legatum Fellowship, the entrepreneurship eco-system at MIT, and postgraduate programs on offer.
Kwadwo has over 15 years experience in enrollment management, training, and inter-cultural and diversity management. He holds a Master of Arts in Inter-cultural Relations from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Communication from Georgetown College.
Prior to joining MIT, the 2002 recipient of Georgetown College’s Outstanding Leader for Diversity and Image Awards worked in different industries and sectors, including tourism, higher education, retail, and consulting.
In his current position, he is responsible for developing and implementing the Legatum Center’s strategy to recruit students for the Legatum Fellowship and facilitating support for its alumni entrepreneurs.
In the process, he has coached student entrepreneurs, recruited students for US institutions, and trained and supported senior and middle level managers, medical interpreters, and students on developing inter-cultural and global skills.
Before leaving for Uganda on February 4, the facilitator will on 2nd of the same month be holding another talk at Strathmore, as from 2pm. He will also be speaking at iHub on 3rd, starting from 3pm; before proceeding to Jomo Kenyatta University.
