What is an internship?
Internship is an opportunity for college students and recent graduates to learn and grow in skills. These skills include business, technical, communication and social skills. Extra advantages that an intern should look out for include innovativeness, creativity and a competitive edge in the job market.
There are many places that offer internship opportunities in the area of technology and innovation, but few there are that turn around the life of an intern.
C4DLab, if not the only one, it is among those places that transform any enthusiastic intern into a techno-savvy as well as an able entrepreneur-cum-investor.
Why intern with us?
At C4DLab, an intern will be empowered to exercise all those skills they deem are very crucial in the socio-economic world. Virtues include perseverance in whatever they do and always be inspired to do something extra and unique.
One is expected to be passionate, committed as well as to be very responsible in order to gain much from the experience.
The environment of the hub is welcoming. There is a rare opportunity for an intern to interact freely with anyone-as long as it is strictly professional or interventional. Besides, the open-office environment allows for the flourishing of the spirit of team-work.
Independent learning, Initiative
Other crucial life values an intern is likely to acquire or be helped to acquire are independent learning as well as initiative.
If interns have not been assigned projects in connection with their skills and abilities, it can an all be a do-it-yourself affair.
The good supervisors guide and support interns all the way. This involves organizing important talks usually facilitated by gurus in the technology or business arena. In the end, the interns end up being enlightened on useful ideas, which they can incorporate in their plans and projects. All these objectives are usually achieved at the two key forums: Frideation as well as Power Forum.
C4DLab has several working desks including photography, web design, graphic design, social media, and software development, and the most recent one of 3D printing. What has so far been done by the interns in all these sections is praiseworthy, a sure sign that C4DLab is a positively transforming place.
For all and sundry
C4DLab is open to all and sundry. So long as one is innovative or creative, the door is wide open. Interns teach themselves to live up to the slogan of the hub: “innovate, create, adapt”.
Definitely, the decision to intern at the Computing for Development (C4D) Lab is, as one of the programming languages is called, a plus plus (but without the C!)
